Why doesn't YouTube work on my computer at all?

Why wont youtube work on my macbook?

  • Everytime I go to youtube and try to watch a video, nothing works. Its just a black screen. It doesnt say if its loading or anything. The play/pause bar doesnt even show up. I have the black macbook, and i just finish downloading the new Safari 5. I also tried to reset safari and refresh the page, but it doesnt work.Im able to see the comments and everyting else on the page except the video. All other sites where I watch videos work except youtube. What is the problem? is it my computer, or is it youtube? How should I fix this? Thank you for the help

    a lot of people asking about this today... i had same problem and posted it on here earlier. I switched safari browser to run in 32 bit mode (instead of 64 bit). take a look at suggestions on apple forums. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=13103722
