Help! I left my Youtube account open in school?
-
I was on my break at college and I decided to check my Youtube stats, comments, etc. and at the end of class, I realized that I left my account open for students to access. Let's say somebody else uses Youtube to check their videos and they realize my account is accessible, they could remove my videos, change my details or even delete my account! I don't want that! When I signed in, I didn't check the remember me button because it would stay open forever. I'm out of school now and I live two towns away from the school. I'm not going all the way back to sign out, and I can't interrupt the classes just to sign out either. The college doesn't block any websites except for pornography & illegal websites. You can access myspace, facebook, youtube without proxies! So what do I do? I don't want my account hacked into! Please help me and thank you!

Answer:
If you closed the browser, it won't be there anymore.

If you exited out of the browser and you hadn't checked "Remember Me," there is an excellent chance that your account won't be saved for the next person to use the computer to go on. If you actually didn't exit out the browser, I'm afraid you're in for some trouble. What I would do is perhaps contact a person you know who is still at the college. Warn them about it, and check to see if your account is still accessed. Politely tell them to log out if it is still open, and the problem is solved! Don't forget to thank them and give them a big personal hug the next time you see the YouTube account saver. ;) If, however, you don't know any way to contact them, change your password. Use the e-mail you used to sign up for the account, and choose a different pass. It should automatically log out if the person decides to look through your messages, and your hopes of the account being saved will be relieved. If none of the above work, my best advice is to hope for the best outcome. Surely the people at the college will be kind enough to take care of the account. Sorry to say, but if I was them, the only thing I'd do is look through personal messages, which shouldn't be that big of a deal unless you have some top secret information in there, which is not likely. Hope for the best!
You are just going to have to trust that the next person who uses the computer logs you out and then does his or her thing. However, you didn't click Remember Me so just by closing down the browser, you probably have been logged out anyway. When someone goes to youtube.com there is a good chance it will not be logged into your account. I would imagine that college computers are used often so if something has happened, yet, it prob won't. Someone else has prob. used that computer and gone on YT and did his/her own thing.
