How to get audio of a video clip?

On imovie, how do i get a picture over a video clip?

  First go into iMovie's preference settings (press Cmd+comma) and enable 'Advanced Tools'. To overlay a clip with a still image, drag the image from the Finder directly onto the clip in the project timeline, right where you want it. When you drop it there, a menu appears – choose 'Cutaway'. Now it overlays the clip, and by double-clicking on it (in the project timeline) you can adjust the duration and where it starts, etc.
