Real player "download this video" button?

Why do websites use any video player BESIDES youtube when youtube is the only one that works-AT ALL?

• I've never seen a single video download sucessfully or completely on any video player besides youtube. Except once or twice when I sat down at the computer and patiently pressed the "refresh" button 2 or 3 times before it downloaded completely. Usually it stops downloading by about halfway through the video and I have to press "refresh" of course. I've never seen a single video player (except youtube) that can download a 4 minute video in UNDER 20 minutes. But every 4 minute video on youtube I click on takes only 2 minutes to download, so I can actually watch it WHILE it's downloading. By download, I mean, "display on your monitor", I'm not talking about actually downloading to your hard drive. So why doesn't EVERYONE switch to youtube since every other video player pales in comparison? Who wants to wait 20 minutes to watch a 4 minute video, or 2 hours if you have to press the "refresh" button halfway through about 10 times? You actually have to sit by the computer pressing "pause" and "play" over and over again to remind it that "I'm still here, trying to download you". If you turn for just one second it stops downloading. And this has been my experience with EVERY SINGLE VIDEO PLAYER OUT THERE. Except for youtube. Like the commercial websites, for instance. Don't they realize that if people could actually WATCH their videos, their hits would increase about 5 fold? Do these people have something against making money?

  I know a lot of sites that use YouTube. I also have used LiveLeak which worked well for me.
