How can I cut a video on Windows Movie Maker?

In Windows Movie Maker, can you cut out part of the video?

  • By this, I don't mean make it shorter. I mean like in one of my clips, someone is in the edge of the screen, and I don't want him to be seen. Is it possible?

  • Answer:

On the right hand side of the program there is a button that says 'split' Right when you get to the very beginning of the of the clip you want to cut out hit 'split' and then at the very end of the clip you want hit 'split' again and then it will make it into a clip on its own you can delete or drag it somewhere else. And that should do it.

Yes. Go to Effects and press Zoom - left if hes on the right. But, don't press Zoom In. Just Zoom. I really don't think you should use Windows Movie Maker. There are things you can download to get Sony Vegas for free. Trust me, WMM sucks. With Sony Vegas you can actually cut them out.. With this it just zooms to the other side but thats really all you can do.

i wudnt bother the hassle of putting it on the internet and instead use scissors....
