Where to get clips for youtube compilation videos? (help)?

Hey, do you the know the way you see youtube videos of montages and compilations and stuff, with a pile of diff clips? Well i was wanting to make youtube videos of compilations of soccer/football players goals and stuff, and i have no idea where people get there clips in there youtube videos. Im sorry i have not worded this question great, but i hope you understand what i mean. Any help will be greatly appreciated =] big thank you too anyone who awnsers =]
