How to highlight the current chapter of the Youtube chapter marker player?

Youtube keeps telling me to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player but I already did?

  • Several days ago, I visited youtube.com, and I started getting message like "Upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video," thus I couldn't watch any youtube videos. Youtube worked fine before that. So I did as I told and upgraded my flash player. Trouble is, youtube didn't think so and kept showing the message :S I have literally done everything I can... from uninstalling the old version of Flash Player, rebooting the computer, disabling pop-up blockers, clearing caches, visiting the site directly and not from the link... But nothing, and I mean nothing works. Why is this happening?! I'm using IE9 and Windows Vista.

  • Answer:

Well the correct way of upgrading is to fully remove it using the removal tool from Adobe then reboot your computer (or use a cleaning product) to flush the cache. Then if you reinstall only the latest version with no remnants of old versions lurking about - it should work. Direct download link for remover: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player_32bit.exe Or find it on Adobe's website. Also it might not fully uninstall if you've got programs running that are using it at the time you remove it. If it still doesn't work it probably means that you have applied custom settings to the security level of IE9. The simple answer is to reset it to default levels.
