How to upload clear videos from photo booth to youtube.?

Ok. So I sometimes post videos on YouTube and I use photo booth to make the videos. when I watch my videos on photo booth they look fine and clear. I sometimes upload my videos on imovie ('08) to make an intro so they could look professional. BUT whenever I upload it to YouTube (after fixing it on imovie) it comes out all pixelated. it looks HORRIBLE!! I did some research on how to turn my videos HD using imovie ( so I can upload them in HD on YouTube) but someone said that you can't change a non HD video into HD. it's only going to turn the video more pixelated. So I started to use my digital camera. it's a SONY DSC-S950. it gives really good video quality but it doesn't zoom in on objects (whenever I place them in front of the camera) and the playback audio SUCKS. and i notice that whenever I upload the videos to imovie it still leaves them pixelated. I don't know what to do to create clear/ HD videos HELP!!!!!

you need to upgrade. too imovie'09 , or 10 or mess around the settings when you import. try restarting your computer and update your macbook or imac.
