How do you create the videos that are on YouTube?

How do you create game videos on youtube?

  • Ok, so this may sound strange, but I have watched a lot of youtube videos where people take game footage and combine it with music and they get a good music video out of it. I really would like to know how to do that. I see them moving the camera all around and the most Ive ever been able to do is record straight from my TV which means I just see the first person view but I see all these videos where they are moving the camera all over the place! Heres an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACEFHN-TmwU&list=FLE7zKQR2xPMOtpg4dZQ32gw&index=6&feature=plpp_video I mean, this is in game footage but how does the camera manage to move all over like that? Is there some program I need or something? Anyone good at explaining or have a video I can watch? Thank you.

For PC you just need to install some special software for recording the gameplay video. I am using Game Camcorder - http://gamecamcorder.com

Only some of that was gameplay footage, other parts were theatrical footage. It looked like they combined and cut several pieces of footage together that included gameplay, theatrical, and some from the game creators as they are panning through the 3d model of characters and stages. You can do this with good video editing software and the correct footage. At most all he did was edit a lot of different footage together with fade in between each new footage and added a audio track.
