How do you delete a YouTube video?

I need to delete SOME of my YouTube video how?

  • I did this really good video of me singing Adele's Someone Like You and I mentioned one of my girl friends in it, she is a bit pissed about that I think cause her friend rang up saying to take it down and it's not funny! How can I just delete the part of the video where I mention her name, cause I don't want to get rid of a perfectly good video! I wish I hadn't joked about like that now cause it's ruining my good singing video! :(

    1.) delete the youtube video. 2.) find the file on you're computer 3.) open windows live movie maker or windows movie maker. (i think all computers come with this) 4.) Import you're video 5.) Go to the part of the video just before you say her name 6.) right click and then click split on the video or in the timeline*i think* 7.) After that keep watching the video until after you say her name 8.) click split again 9.) click cut on the part of the video where you said her name and it should keep the rest of the video. 10.) now you can add titles, and put it in high definition in windows live movie maker. 11.) click save movie and put it in the definition you want 12.) upload it to youtube again. Hopefully this works, if you deleted the video off of your computer you're going to have to look up a site where you can post the url to the video and they will put it in a format so you can edit it again

use windows movie maker (im assuming you have a windows pc) import the clip to the movie maker (its really easy this software) play the clip in the movie maker and make note of where the part is, there will be a line you can drag onto the area in the clip and you can cut where you want, if you cant find this cutting tool (it may have changed since last time i used it ages ago on windows xp) then just record something like a bell, or even just silence, put it on your PC and import it as a soundtrack and place it over the area in the video where u mention the name... that should work and im sure you can increase the volume on it and possible decrease the volume on the video at the same point. once you have what you want, u need to take down the one on youtube and upload the new one

Youtube's website doesn't allow video editing. You will need to remove the video from youtube, edit it from your computer, and re-upload it. Be careful what you say about people. A youtube video can be used as evidence against you in a harassment case.

Go to your youtube name, Click videos, checkmark a video and delete it!
