Why won't my video upload to YouTube?

Why wont youtube upload my video?

  • Okay so i have a short video that is about one gig in size (well under the limit). It is an AVI file which youtube claims you can upload. But, when i try and upload it, it almost immediately says there is an "error" can anyone help? THANKS

Try making it longer. Edit it more, add titles, do transitions. Also try processing the video through Windows Movie Maker and process it as WMV. If you did not process it then it will not work. Double check to make sure you did everything correctly.

Youtube can't support all avi format video, avi is a container, the best quality video format for youtube is 1280x720 16:9 mp4(h.264 video codec, aac audio codec), or 640*480 4:3 mp4(h.264 video codec, aac audio codec), or normal flv videos, so before uploading video onto youtube, you just need a right converter to convert avi videos to youtube videos, I am using RZ Video Converter which can do this well, it can convert any videos or audios between different formats, hope it can help you.
