Why isn't there sound on YouTube?

YOUTUBE SOUND NOT PLAYING?

  • how come the sound on youtube isnt working? the volume on my laptop is all up. wen i try to play something other than on youtube, it works ( etc: windows media player)

    Hm, I had this problem a while back. My friend kept sending me these links to listen to things on youtube and I couldnt watch any of them. Ergh. Make sure your volume box is working, thats the first thing you check. In the bottom right hand corner theres a lot of images of tools, click on the audio item an try unmuting internet explorer. Also, maybe on Youtube on the bottom right hand corner of the video screen there's some tools, click the audio one? Hopefully these work ;)

if the volume on the video is down than it wont work. or sometimes they take out sound because they video used copyrighted material.

Try installing Adobe's newest flash player for your browser at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ If that doesn't help, it's probably WMG's fault.
