Youtube offered me the oppurtunity to make money off one of my vids?

I made a youtube account 4 months ago. I uploaded a couple pranks videos of me asking guys out at the mall just as jokes. One of my videos I asked some random dude who worked at gamestop to prom. Within the past 3 months that video has gotten about 9,000 views. Today I logged into youtube and it asked me if I wanted to be a partner for that video and allow google adsense to advertise on it or something like that and said I could possibly earn money. I said yes and filled out the info with my adress and full name. I'm 19 so I can legally earn money I guess. But I'm so confused. Why was this oppurtunity offered to me? I only have 12 subscribers and 9,000 views is a fair amount but nothing spectacular. Also what do I expect now? Am I automatically in as partner for that video now? or was it just offering me to opportunity to apply to have that video used for google adsense? Also should I seriously expect to make money of that video? If so how much?
