How to put a picture in a youtube video?

How do I put myself into a video or picture ?

Ive seen on youtube people can like put themselves into a video or picture, Im not talking about greenscreens, it looks like they cropped themselves out and then somehow put themselves into a new video or picture, Im trying to make a music video and I need help on how to do that.. any ideas ?
