Why is my HD youtube video uploading at half speed?

• I've done as much research as possible the past 24 hours to come to a conclusion as to why this problem is happening, and I feel I have an understanding of why, but a solution is what seems to be getting past me. When I upload an HD video to youtube, the video length doubles (from about 4:50 to almost 10:00 minutes while the audio remains the same. I've found this problem to be present as a result of something to do with the codecs in the video and interlacing that takes place on youtube, however, I'm completely stumped for a few reasons. This video I'm trying to upload (about 7 failed attempts) was recorded, edited, and audio added in the exact same way my past videos have been done, yet for whatever reason, this video is causing a ton of trouble.
