What are the best settings for uploading to YouTube?

Problem uploading to youtube.?

  • I've uploaded previous videos to youtube, with the same format and render settings. In case you wanted to know, the video is a 1280x720 mp4, h.264/AAC , it is 4:01 long and it is 228mb. I've tried uploading this file multiple times and it takes about 30 minutes, all the while there is nothing showing on the preview screen, where usually it shows frames of where in the video the uploading is. After about 30 minutes, there uploading stops, and an unknow error occurs and the file is not uploaded. My questions are: Why is the video not showing in the preview screen? Does it even have to show in the preview screen for it to successfully upload? Is there something apparent that is wrong with my video properties? I've tried looking in the youtube help section and nothing has helped me yet. Thanks to anyone and everyone who leaves advice.

  • Answer:

    It's over the limit which is 2GB. 100MB = 1GB. On the side, there should be an option of using a different uploader for higher file sizes, try that.
