How to remove subtitles from a YouTube video?

  • I downloaded a YouTube video (Music video) through keepvid.com, but the video already had subtitles on it when it was uploaded by the person... now I am editing the video on Windows Movie Maker, and I will be re-uploading it onto my own account on YouTube... one problem though, I don't know how to remove the subtitles that were already on the video. Is there any way I can remove the subtitles from the video? **I did not go through all the torrent downloading sh*t, I just copied the URL of the video from YouTube onto keepvid.com and got the video like that.** PLEASE HELP! Explain step-by-step, thank you.(=

    Ask the creator of the original video to send you a copy without subtitles along with the license authorizing you to use his material.

Very simple answer: You can't. The subtitle was hard-coded to the video so there's no way of removing it. By the way, isn't it shameful to copy somebody else's video, post it again on youtube and claim it as yours?

Nope unless you use a proper editing tool to blur it out you cannot remove subtitles that's already embedded into the video. But why are you trying to plagiarize someone Else's video anyway?
