How can I change my Youtube email?

  • Ok, so I made a youtube account a while ago. I also made a gmail account afterwards. I want to switch to gmail now, but the two accounts arent compatible. Everytime I log into both youtube and gmail, one of them logs out and the other logs in. IT IS REALLY FRUSTRATING!!! Also, everytime I try to change my email on youtube it says, a gmail address is not allowed to be the primary address of this account??? Is there 1) Any way to change my youtube account to my gmail account?? 2) Any way to merge/change my old youtube account to my new one that is created with my gmail?

    I did once..... One time I made a Youtube account with a Yahoo email. After my Yahoo account was hacked, I made a Gmail, with the same address and same password. So, I clicked "sign in" and typed in (email)@gmailm.com with the same password, and my account miraculously changed emails, but I think it was a glitch that Google fixed, because I tried this in 2009, and last year it wouldn't work anymore. Bottom line, I don't think you can change it at ALL.
