Uploading videos onto Youtube?

Why is uploading videos to youtube so slow and long? Any ways to fix this or alternate methods for uploading?

  • A lot of people seem to have this problem, i've never had a problem uploading in the past usually it will take me 30min-45min to upload a 5min video, but now its taking up to 3-4 hours to upload a 3min video. Im pretty sure its not my internet connection, because like i said, i never had this problem up until now where youtube changed its layout. I've tried uploading in the mornings and at night because i thought there was too much traffic, but that too didnt change, and not only does it take long, but when i do wait the 3-4hours to upload sometimes it fails to upload. Are there any alternate methods or a way to get around this problem?

    Probably slow Internet connection, just try configuring it according to speed of Internet through Reginout and try uploading again. It would help

I've noticed this too. If you haven't downgraded your internet plan, then it has to be YouTube. Either they are under heavy load from kids uploading 15min videos of them running in circles, or YouTube is limiting the max upload speed. You can try to run a speedtest, www.speedtest.net, and see if the speed you have is the speed you're paying for. If its slower, call up your internet service provider and ask them to look into why its slow and no up to par with the service you pay for. Good luck.
