I need help with making a video for Youtube?

Youtube Video making professionals, I need your help !! (Thumbnails and music)?

  • How do you upload a picture from your computer as a thumbnail to your youtube video (as opposed to the video snapshot thumbnail provided by youtube) ? When adding music on my windows media maker, how do I make it so that the music is really soft in the background and doesn't distract from what i say? And how do I make the song stop and resume within the same video ? Because When I add music it automatically plays in the same volume as my voice in the video, and two, the song will go on from the beginning of it to the end (when I only want it to play for like 2 min ) FIRST QUESTION ABOUT THE THUMBNAIL PIC IS MORE IMPORTANT THOUGH !!!! Thanks

    Well, you can't upoad a pic as a thumbnail, without being a youtube partner!!! But the music stuff, you have to decrease the volume of the music, in the backgroud, by cliking the volume sound next to it!!

I am just a youtube person with windows movie maker theres a little thing that looks like an up arrow right near the timeline if you click on that you can affect the audio There is software called audacity if you would like to do a super high quality audio effect http://www.google.com/search?q=audacity&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8 I have yet to bother doing this but if you make a complete version of your video then upload it you can find the precise locations of where the representative images come from then you can make a near identical video with just the right image at the image place. you are right about the representative image mattering a lot its like 10 or 20k views more with an attractive girl image compared with a few dozen or hundred if its a pumpkin or a blank http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?feature=mhw4&sf=viewcount&sa=1&pi=3
