Is youtube displaying the most viewed videos in my country or the world?

When you go onto youtube, what are the most viewed videos in the world? I see Aerosmith, Free hugs, ACDC, Katy Perry etc. Is this just youtube Australia, or the whole world? Coz I was surprised to see many of the top videos are australian. Like monster shark, how to fake a six pack, the ultrasound etc.
