Youtube video embed problem?

hi , i 'm designing my site using dreamweaver cs4 , i need to embed a youtube video showing my work , i copied the embed code in the embed option in youtube and pasted it in my page but when i test the page in firefox or explorer the site doesn't show the video only the pasted code appears as if it is a text in the site. what am i doing wrong? do i need to make any code or tag before pasting the video code , i think the browser is reading it as normal text , i need a code or a tag that makes the browser launches the video from the youtube help pllleassssssse
