How do people make money on YouTube? besides puttung up videos where does the money come from?

  • I know there is no quick making money fix out there, no matter what it all takes time and commitment to make money. My question is how do they make money putting up videos on YouTube? I know all that post videos in YouTube make money but there are plenty of them that do. Just saw a show on Anderson Cooper about making money on YouTube, a couple makes money just filming there daily activities, there no celebrities just an ordinary family but are making money with there family videos. Where does the money come from? Who pays them? I am sure its not YouTube that is paying them, so how and who pays them? There not advertising products or anything like that. One video was about the dad carrying his 3 kids around in the house saying "I am the strongest dad in the world ". This family making money, how? And on what? Any tips on how to start posting videos that could potentially make money in the long run? Not looking for a get rich sceam, this would be a daily hobby outside of my job. As much info or point in the right direction would be great. Thanks

    Google Adsense - its a service provided by google where you can add advertisements to your videos, and depending on the amount of clicks your advertisements draw in, you earn more =) EDIT- Danny's method works too, but you need to have alot of subscribers, i believe 1000 for Google to partner with you =P

You need to apply for partnership by adding your credit card details. Then, when someone watches one of your videos, you will get so much money into your bank account. I personally wouldn't recommend it, as although YouTube is safe, if someone hacks into the web server, then they are able to access your bank account and can take your money.
