How do i download or save youtube videos to my computer?

I want to download or save a video from youtube onto my computer into mobile format because i want to send it to my phone via bluetooth which i already know how to do the thing is i've downloaded download helper and the conversion thing and i've downloaded the youtube videos in both quick time and 3GP and when i double click on it in the "My Videos" folder it says "cannot open this file because quick time player does not understand this file" Help anyone i really want youtube videos on my phone thanks!!

I download my videos via the website listed in sources, then I download a converter from the another site listed in sources (it's pretty easy to navigate, just search for FORMAT to PHONEREADABLEFORMAT. Format and phonereadableformat being the format (eg flv or mp4) that the video is in and the format your phone can read, normally mp4).
