How can I lower the resolution on a video I recorded?

10 pts...How can I upload video in youtube?

  • this is the situation, I want to record a video from my favourite tv show and upload it to youtube (I know it is copyright owned or whatever they called that). The thing is, when I record a video from a tv through my video cam, there is this black horizontal line formed and it is a very poor quality resolution. Then I read this video info from youtube and this uploader says that he just recorded the video from his tv. How come that his video comes out clear and has no black horizontal line like what I got?     The black horizontal lines come due to the closeness of you cam from the TV. You should perhaps move the cam away and zoom in. Worked for me hope it does for you.:-D

Well you shouldn't record with a video camera to record the TV. Use a DVD player that can record and then use that to record. It has those black lines because the camera is recording somethingn very bright. That happens to the video no matter what. The guy who made that video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JSBhI_0at0&feature=PlayList&p=488CD6473F9AF05C&index=3 was made by him having a DVD recorder. He put the DVD recorder on the channel he wanted to record, recorded it, finalized it, and then uploaded it to his computer. Obviously that isn't easy to do if it doesn't come up as much of a data disk but if you go to My Computer then right click the DVD drive and then explore it you'll probably find the right one that's the actual tv show. Drag that to your desktop and then upload that to youtube.
