How To Contact YouTube?

How do I contact YouTube by phone and on line?

  • Someone hacked into my YouTube account. The hacker proceeded to use my account to harass other people on YouTube, using hate speech (racial slurs) and even threatening violence against other members. I haven't been using YouTube lately and the email that is tied to it is an email that I no longer use regularly. So when I went to check my old email and found out that some members of YouTube had reported my hate speech but also mentioned that the threats of violence to others "could be illegal." I posted an apology on the YouTube page where the reported remarks were. Some of the members asked "why should we believe you?" and another said "whether you posted the remarks or a hacker- this is still your fault." I went ahead and closed my YouTube account. For some reason, after I closed my account, some members continued to reply to my closed account, disputing my excuse of the hacker. Since that time, YouTube has removed all of my remarks on all of the videos that I and the hacker commented on. The replies to the comments on my account are still there, including a copy of the complaint to YouTube Safety. Is there any way to contact YouTube to explain that it was a hacker and not me who posted the threats and hate speech? You Tube has not contacted me regarding this. One of the punishments would be that they would terminate my account. I have already done that. I set up a new YouTube account to see if my IP address was banned but I am able to create new accounts under a different User Name. I have heard about people having the police and the FBI coming after individuals from everything from posting porn on line to downloading music and videos illegally. I am not sure if law enforcement would consider it a high priority to go after a person on You Tube that used the N word, offended a person of color, and then threatened to harm that person physically (though not a death threat). Also, whereas I did not do this, a hacker did it, if I contact YouTube, would I make it easier for law enforcement to entrap me for something I didn't do. The only personal information YouTube has of me is my email, that I created at a remote location and not from my home IP address. I am curious to find out if You Tube intends to refer this matter to law enforcement. I don't mind them closing the account, or even banning me from YouTube. But if I am going to be legally charged for a crime, then I want to know what I am being charged for and what my rights are.

I strongly suggest you go to your your local police department on this particular problem of yours.... If someone hacked into your account and was causing problems that you were not aware of...They would know what agencies to contact on something like this. Also, I suggest you try to get yourself a lawyer on this matter....A lawyer would know how to contact the people of YouTUBE directly on a problem like this. = =
