Why wont the videos on youtube play?

The page of the video loads but the place where you watch the video and click play is just a black box.. so i cant even click play or pause to wait for the video to load cause its just black! Anyone know what i mean? So i went on yahoo answers and someone said to type in httpS://youtube.com when im watching the video so i did that and now it works.. why wont it work without the https??

y dont you jst stick to the fact that at least it works with https and maybe your adobe flash player needs updating
