Is youtube messed up?

  • Because when i went on yesterday and it was messed up and i went on today and it still is!! is it just my computer????

    Several times every day YouTube shuts down many of their servers to update stuff. Be patient if YouTube is slow, stuck or mangled. Transmissions from YouTube to your computer are done in multiple tiny packets of data and flash at a time. That's why sometimes you may see bits and pieces of text and thumbnails in weird places; sluggish loading / buffering; the "spinning circle" seemingly going on forever' or even the Flash player being blank. The problem could fix itself within a few hours or by the next day. If your YouTube continues to behave slow, stuck or strange, it's very possible that your directories of "temporary internet files" and RAM (sometimes known as "cache") are close to the maximum and just cannot take anymore, the end result being that nothing is in its proper place. "Temporary internet files" are tiny bits of webpages that get permanently put on your hard-drive. They will remain forever on your computer, gradually plugging it up like hair stuck in a sink drain, until you finally get rid of them once and for all. Thus, exit out of YouTube, then clear your "cache" of all its "temporary internet files", "cookies" and "history". It is best if you shutdown and reboot afterwards. You'll be amazed at how "fresh" and "new" your YouTube will be. Internet Explorer 6: → Tools → Internet Options → Delete Cookies → OK → Delete Files → OK → Clear History → Yes → OK Internet Explorer 7: → Tools → Internet Options → Delete... → Delete files → Yes → Delete cookies → OK → Delete history → OK → Close (browsing history window) → OK Mozilla Firefox → Tools → Clear Private Data [x] Browsing History [x] Download History [x] Saved Form and Search History [x] Cache [x] Cookies → Clear Private Data Now A really strange "fix" that once worked for me was changing the website URL from "www.youtube.com" to "youtube.com" (or you could even try "ca.youtube.com"). good idea is to say what exactly you're seeing is messed up about it but i'm guessing it just says '404 bad requests'? or something along those lines? best bet it to just clear your web browser's cache of cookies or use a different web browser (i recommend firefox) if you're on firefox, then do this: tools>clear private data... then check only cookies, or anything else you don't need/want and then after that try youtube again :) hope it works for you!

Clear your internet history and temporary interent files etc by going to Tools and Clear Private Data (Firefox) or Tools and Internet Options. It might help to delete cookies also. Then re-start your computer and try again. Sometimes your browsers just get full of crap.

i think its your computer cuz it works perfectly fine with my computer. try resetting your browser, or restarting your computer, or just turning it off for a while then come back after like half an hour and see if it works :)
