Does the view count on YouTube videos include videos watched on sites other than YouTube?

As you all know, many YouTube videos, although originally posted on YouTube itself, are watched on third-party sites where embedded. I just wanted to know whether or not the videos watched on these third-party sites are taken into account in the view count of that video on YouTube. I hope my question and the way I've detailed it makes sense, LOL. Now answer it :)
