How much do you get for each clicked ad on AdSense?

Does the Google adsense homepage take a while to notice if someone clicked on your ads?

  • I have a website, and recently uploaded Google Adsense to my website. The ads were displayed perfectly. Even though it says not to =P I had a friend click on the ad to see if it would register. He clicked on the ad, followed through a few links, then finished. It has been about an hour or more now, and it is still not displaying on my Google Adsense homepage that anyone clicked on my ads. Does it just take a while to know, or did I do something wrong?

    Google will immediately know if you clicked the ads and will disable your account after a few days, in case you continue clicking.

Hi, Google AdSense reports aren't in real time. They update once or twice a day - probably once, overnight. Google is in Mountain View, CA (near San Francisco) currently Pacific Daylight Time. So if the reports update at say midnight, it would depend on your time zone as to when you see the day's results. Remember, too -- it's the internet and software. Glitches happen. It's possible your friend's clicks didn't register. Hope this helps a bit! Steve

Google AdSense reports update continually throughout the day and night although occasionally there is a delay of a few hours in reporting and you will see lots of people in their forum moaning. If the click hasn't been reported then it would be safe to assume that AdSense has decided it is invalid. There could be a lot of reason for this... have you ever logged into your google account from your friends PC or IP address? In the end its best not to ask friends to click on yours ads... too many invalid clicks will get your account closed.
