How can errors be checked?

How do I fix the crawl errors in my Google Webmasters account; such as HTTP (400), and not found (404) errors?

  • A few days ago I messed up part of the html of my Wordpress blog and my site was down for about 6-8 hours. Before this, I was receiving over 250 visitors per day but now, it has dropped insanely down to 5-10 visitors per day! And then a few days after my site crashed/fixed, when I checked my webmasters account, its showing me 63 http (400) crawl errors and 6 not found errors, whereas before the site crashed/fixed, there were no crawl errors listed. My site map status is still a check mark, I even resubmitted my sitemap but nothing happened. How do I fix this so I get my 250 visitors per day back...by the way, the url to my blog is: http://worldtenz.net

You wait. Nothing else you can do except make sure your site is working correctly.

Like Smelly Cat says, relax and wait for the Googlebot to do its thing. It will rediscover the pages when it visits again and the errors will disappear. 6-8 hours of downtime isn't much so the effects won't be long term, just happened that the crawlers came when your pages were offline is all. Provided your sitemap is up and working and the site is fine now it will all come out in the wash :-)
