How does the internet work?

How can I make my Google Chrome "internet engine" work again?

  • I'm sorry, but I'd really like some help here please. I've used Google Chrome instead of Firefox or Internet Explorer for going on the internet, but all of a sudden, Google Chrome stopped working. Whenever I try to use it, it reads, "Unable to access the network. This may be because your firewall or antivirus software wrongly thinks Google Chrome is an intruder on your computer and is blocking it from connecting to the Internet." The internet works when I use other browsers, such as Internet Explorer, I just want to use Google Chrome though. There are some suggestions that are listed on the page also, and they read "Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again." I did this and it still doesn't work, though I'm not sure why. As I've said earlier, Google Chrome used to work and I'm not sure why it doesn't now. Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
