How to change the name of a Gmail address ?

  • How can I change the domain name of a Gmail address ? I bought a domain name for my Blogger blog (Blogger belongs to Google) and I got a free Gmail account from Google Apps. I would like to change the name of my address. current : [email protected] wanted : [email protected] Thanks in advance !

    you wont be able to change the email address, but you can change the display name by going to Settings. to change the email address name you will need to create a new email address, or maybe an alias if they accept them, just check Settings

There is no way to change an email adress name. You will have to create a new one. But once you have created the new one you can add it to your old one. Go to Setting - Accounts on your Gmail account. That way you can still use your old account but Employers responding to your emails will see the new email address name and responses will be delivered to the new address.
