Gmail deleted my hotmail inbox?

• I set gmail to retrieve mail from my hotmail account, it seemed to work as alot of my hotmail emails appeared in the gmail inbox. Then a while later I checked my hotmail inbox and its missing the last few weeks. I look at my deleted mail folder, lo and behold there were hundreds of emails that were missing from my inbox. I never delete mail from my hotmail inbox so whats going on? Did gmail delete my hotmail inbox when I set it to retrieve? I thought this was illegal or something? How do I fix this?

  e-mails on your hotmail server are in no way correlated to the gmail server. gmail has nothing to do with it, it's 100% on the hotmail-end. check whatever preferences you set within hotmail regarding forwarding your e-mails and make sure you didn't set it to delete e-mails after they are forwarded. hope this helps, Ryan
