Youtube and google account question?

Linking Google Account To Your Youtube Account....I'm Very Confused...Please Respond?

  • Does anyone understand this? I'm very confused. This is the part I'm confused about. I know that now you HAVE to link your Google account to your Youtube account, whereas before it was a choice. After signing into my Google account, I tried signing into my Youtube account using my old password, before linking my two accounts. My username came up as my current email address. After clicking the sign-in button, it re-directed me to a new page that said "Get Started with Youtube using your Google Account". Underneath it said "Create a new Youtube account for this Google Account". I don't know what to do!! If I do go ahead and create a new Youtube account for my Google account, will it delete all my favorited videos from the youtube site, BEFORE I linked the accounts, or will it stay the same? How do I know for sure? Has anyone ever done this, and can anyone tell me if everything as far as all your favorite Youtube videos will stay the same? PLEASE respond, regarding my question. I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks........

  • Answer:

Your question is long and confusing but I think I understand what you are asking. What I did was just sign into my original youtube account, then when asked to link to google account I just put in details for my google account and it should work :). I liked it when it was optional.
