How do you delete tweets from the iphone app?

Im on twitter on the iphone app and i cant delete tweets. I even googled how to. Theres supposed to be a trash can on the navabar when i full screen one of my tweets. BUT THERE ISNT.

I'm not sure if this is right at all, but try swipe the tweet with your finger & see if a delete symbol pops up. That's how it works for facebook anyway...
