How do I get rid of Bing as my main search engine?

I originally had Google as the search engine, but it randomly changed to Bing and I want to change it back. I already tried dragging the icon to the home button. I also clicked on the icon in the right hand search bar and changed it to Google, but when I open a new tab and type in something in the main search bar, it directs me to the Bing search engine. I tried the about:config thing and reset the URL to default, but that didn't seem to work either. Bing is annoying me immensely and I would like Google back.

press tools at the top of your screen, then press options, then press general or tabs, and switch it to google... hope i helped :)
