How can I redirect www to non www site?

Google stopped indexing my site after redirect from old site?

  • I think Google probably saw the two sites as having identical content after a redirect of the old site to the new so they stopped indexing the new site. I have undone the redirect and just put a link to the new site on the front page of the old. Of course Google might have stopped indexing the new site for a totally different reason but who knows. Is there anything on my new site that might upset Google? The new site is www.wigwam-stage-hire.co.uk The old site is www.dreggents.com

  • Answer:

I can just say that retiring the old site and doing a 301 redirect of the domain name to the new site, using your registrar control panel is the standard way to re-rout the visitors and link juice from the old domain to the new site. There's a Google Webmaster Tools form for requesting a site to be re-indexed.
