Why doesn't my Google homepage work?

Why can't I change my homepage to google? I've changed it under internet options, but it won't work.?

  • I've typed in http://www.google.com under Internet options and clicked apply and OK, but when I close IE8 and re-open, my Yahoo homepage still comes up.

    Perhaps this is just a glitch in the IE8. You may want to try other browsers such as Google Chrome. (http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/landing_chrome.html?hl=en). Google Chrome is simpler and easier to use.

I also had the same problem. But then I typed www.google.com in the search box.Then I clicked on Set Google as my homepage.It worked.Try out! It may also work for you.

It could be the borawser acting up or it could just take some time to work wait a bot to see if it works then i would try downloading a new browser
