I already clicked on "make google my homepage" tab on google.com yet everytime I open google chrome it takes me to the most visited sites and my book marks. How do I make google.com my homepage?

Open a page. Click on the wrench icon on the very left. Go down to "options". And you will see homepage settings in the middle.
