How do you set up Gmail chat?

Cannot open a Gmail account?

• This is insanely rediculous, i am trying to set up a gmail account for email and chat, and any username i put in, says: sorry, you can only use letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and (.) periods. Well first off, im not using the greek or russian alphabet so to say i can only use letters a-z well no kidding, sh**. and number 1-9, like it doesnt make any sense, and i went to help menu.. noooo where does it say having problems setting up an account?? i cannot get an answer??? has anyone had a problem with this?? is it my sysytem?? am i not compatible?? like what is it??? pleeeez help if anyone knows anything of this subject... and thank you in advance.... :)

  why don't u then contact the admin through the help desk or something like that, they should send you a link that enable u reach their customer service desk
