Ebay bidding question!?
-
an item is $5.00 and you put a bid at $5.00 (and you are the only person to bid on this item the entire auction) but just to insure that you will win this auction you bid a second time without anyone else bidding on it but yourself for the second time... say i bid $10.00 (as the second bid i made and altogether) what happens when the auction ends? Will i pay the 5 dollars or the 10 dollars? PLEASE HELP remember this all comes down to me being the only user bidding on the item more than one time so do i pay the full amount i bidded on or do i pay the amount i first bidded on since it's still only me bidding on the item (i do this because the more bids you put) the more it looks like people fighting over the item so it keeps other bidders from wanting to bid

Answer:
you will have to pay the $10.00 that you bid.. because of course the seller would want the most money they could get and that is just how the bidding system works. sorry you have to pay the extra 5.00... but thats how it works :o)

if no1 else bids its $5 but if somone else bids it will auto bid up to 10$
Often there is a reserve price for an item and if nobody bid above that price the item will not be sold. To answer your question, you will have to pay 10 dollars, since you have bid that amount. There is a facility in ebay where by you can raise your bid to a higher price if some body elase had made a bid. If you had used this facility then you have to pay 5 dollars only.
IF no one else bids, you'd get it for $5.00, but the bit about people not bidding because it looks like others are bidding makes no sense at all.
