How do I get better placement in Google > local business?

  • I am a photographer in Denver, CO. and I am looking to enhance my placement in Google local searches. I have amazing placement in Yahoo! under the main keywords, number 1 in most (photographer, photographers, photography, baby photographer, family photographer, maternity photographer etc). My placement in Google is poor but under baby photographer and family photographer keywords I come up as number 3, but I want 1 and better placement for other keywords. What are the websites above me doing different? I do all the changes myself and I update my website weekly with new pictures or tweaks here and there. I read numerous posting on how to get better placement and have made those suggested changes. I was hoping someone can go through my site and let me know what I am doing right and wrong. Are there certain things that I may not need? What other changes do you suggest for better placement? Thank you. http://www.jamadophotography.com

    Maybe you should link to your main site for Google instead of having a page linking to your blog and your main site. Google likes rich content and basically that page has none.

Seriously? Just download IBP (Internet Business Promoter) version 10. Its really easy to use (the first time set up is only minorly time consuming and still very easy) and it's easy to make changes and updates and picks out the all important keywords and tells you via googles algorythms which ones are most popular and blah blah blah blah. It gets excellent reviews (it's expensive) because it works really really well because it really is pretty sophisticated yet it's still easy to maintain and make changes to. Like I said, it's expensive though.....but there is a free trial. Have you heard of the pirate bay? IBP works like a charm. And no. I'm not affiliated with them in anyway. I just did a lot of research on SEO a few years ago like you're doing now and I see IBP is still getting the best reviews. It's worth it.
