Google Chrome wont download files anymore?

Chrome runs fine (most of the time) but i have been encountering a problem only recently, when i attempt to download any type of file via Chrome, it says that the download is starting, but it goes nowhere. I have checked the permissions on the temp folder to accept all user full access. Also, for some other reason, i am unable to uninstall chrome at all, its just says to close all chrome windows and try again even though no windows are open. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks -Bill

Check security settings Check proxy settings Check basic options Try a different browser To uninstall it, open task manager and end all the chrome.exe processes and then try uninstall. Or, boot in safe mode by tapping F8 whilst booting up and uninstall it from there and reboot. Afterwards, if you wanted you could try re-install it to see if it works again.

Here are my recommended options: 1st - Try checking the options/preferences on your google chrome browser. 2nd - Try reinstalling Google Chrome. Restart your computer.

Just download files using Firefox or Internet Explorer for now. To uninstall google chrome to this: Go to start menu Control Panel Programs Uninstall a program (or Add/Remove Programs for older WIndows XP/2003) Select Chrome Hopefully this should work Re install it if you want to and it may work.

Make sure your download folder is valid. I once set it on my flash drive, totally forgot about it and then I was mad at my FireFox for 2 weeks for not downloading any files... it sounds very similar.

All i can think is try safari or something. Sorry!!!
