Would my site be considered "adult content" for AdSense?

Adsense: I have what could be a questionable site but is not.?

  • I have an anti pornography web site that is Christian based. However the articles talk about the destructive nature of porn, etc. It appears that google adsense may be seeing this site as adult content. Thus I am only getting PSA's or nothing on my pages. Is there away around this? Can I contact google or somehow express this is anti-porn and not porn...?

  • Answer:

Yes, under the Google scheme, sites that are "pro"-something will end up with advertising from "anti"- that thing (and vice versa). It's one of the weaknesses of the system. Is your primary aim to spread the Christian message or make money? If you want to lie down with the Google monster then you'll have to accept the rough with the smooth, I'm afraid.

Yes, you can call Google and ask them what to do, but if your anti-porn site displays porn images or has explicit description of sex (just to show how bad they are, I'm sure...) how will it be distinguished from porn sites? It's like making a child to memorize a list of bad words, which not to be used.
