Why is my google toolbar messed up?

How do i get my google/gmail toolbar back?

• Suddenly my google/gmail toolbar has disappeared! It had bookmarks+other stuff on it. i really need it back! i have tried clicking on 'tools' then on 'toolbars', and 'google toolbar', but then this thing comes up that says 'do you want to disable this add-on? Google taskbar' 'the following add-ons will be deleted as well.' and then it showed me a list of things that were already checked in in a box by them. if you want to know the things, they were google toolbar helper, and google side bar. then below that it said 'Select any other add-ons that you want to disable: Google toolbar notifier BHO' with a little check-box by it. below that, it said 'to turn on this toolbar again, click the tools button and use the toolbars menu.' but the problem is, i've done that. i clicked on the tools button, but there is no 'toolbars menu'. the closest thing to it is 'toolbars' which i've clicked on. all that happens then is a list of types of toolbars comes up and i click on the one labled 'menu bar' because before it said toolbars MENU. But its not the right one!
