How do i remove localization of search suggestion in firefox?

  • i use firefox 2.0. i don't think it's any different in firefox 3. i use google as the default search engine for the search bar. but i travel a lot abroad so everytime i move to another country the search bar suggestion shows me things in local language. for example when travel to germany it gives suggestions in german, to netherlands in dutch and when i went to malaysia i got suggestions in malay language. can i remove the localization of suggestions and stick to the one i got in the UK? it's taking the fun away from using firefox.

    (this is for firefox 3.0.8, but it should hopefully work for you on 2.0) Go to Tools->Options...->Content At the bottom of the page, there should be a language box. Hit choose, and select your preferred language from the list. Make sure your first choice is at the top of the list. Hopefully that works for you.
