Is there any way to permanently set the default search results in Google to list by date, newest first?
-
When I do a Google search, it typically returns the results by popularity (I Guess). But often, the results I get are from very old posts and articles. I know that I can do an advanced search, and specify to show only recent results, like within the past day, week, month, year. How can I get it to remember this preference so that all of my searches are returned sorted by newest first, like if it stored in a cookie or something. Or is there something I add to the search query?

Answer:
It's not completely permanent, but you can change the google URL line by adding this parameter at the very end: &as_qdr=d where you can replace "d" by m, w, or y for day, month, week, or year. You can also use "d3" for 3 days, "m6" for 6 months etc.
