How does google make money with google chrome?

How do I make my computer recognize google chrome as my main internet browser?

  • I have two internet browsers on my computer Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I prefer to use Google Chrome.When I try to make a change to my internet on my computer say like...setting parental locks and what not, it only affects Internet Explorer for some reason and not Google Chrome. Is there a way to change this or make Google my default browser???? Thanks for taking the time :)

    up top <> right side click on the little wrench. Then click options. under the basics tab scroll down and you will see default browser. Click on make Google Chrome my default browser.

Well, I don't know about you computer, but every time I open Google Chrome on my computer, it has a yellow bar at the top that says "Make Google Chrome your default browser?" With a button that says "Make default browser" and a button that says "Don't ask again". I use both Chrome and Internet Explorer, so I clicked "Don't ask again", but it seems like all you have to do is click the other option..

When I go onto Chrome it says at the top of the page that it is not my default setting and asks if I want it to be and if so to click set default (top left)

in chrome: tools - options - set chrome as my default browser. if you are also using other browser occasionally (for example:IE), open it: tools-options, uncheck: check if IE is default browser.
