How do I get rid of this white background space on MySpace 2.0?

hiyas. your help is appreciated friends. i'm using Myspace 2.0 with the "recycle" design. so, i went ahead and put my own background picture using freecodesource, but there is a block of white BLOCKING the picture. it's quite irritating and i don't know how to fix it. here is a shot of my problem.. http://i36.tinypic.com/rr730p.jpg ..what do i do?
